Mastervolt 35524500 CombiMaster 24V 4500W 120A HT 120V Inverter-Charger
SKU:MVT35524500
The CombiMaster is the best of both worlds. It is the combination of best-in-class battery charger and Inverter technologies in one package. The CombiMaster range allows you to charge your batteries at extremely high rates, invert at sustainable high power, and communicate all that information across Czone, NMEA 2000, and Masterbus.
This chassis size (3500W and 4500W) provide unique parallel and 240V split phase features that are only available in this family providing the maximum amount of AC inverter power for even the largest systems.
Parallel & Split Phase: (4500W Specs Only)
- Parallel up to 7 units for 31.5KW at 120V
- Split phase 2 units to provide 240V
- Parallel-Split phase up to 2 units per phase (4 total) for up to 18KW of inverter at 240V
Inverter: 4500W/120V
- Pure Sine Wave AC Output
- Lightning fast 10ms automatic AC transfer from shorepower
- AC in support from shorepower/generator
- 2X surge power for large load start up
- Wide range AC input 90 - 140V AC
- 50/60 Hz Selectable
Bank Battery Charger: 24V/120A - 1 Bank
-
3-step+ charging
- Bulk - Provides constant current to charge the batteries to approximately 80%
- Absorption - Provides constant voltage to top off the batteries to 100%
- Pre-Float - Lowers voltage on each output as the individual output finishes absorption even if remaining batteries have not completed absorption
-
Float - After all batteries are full the charger moves to float which provides reduced constant voltage to maintain full batteries and provide power to loads
-
Plus - 1 hour every 14 days the battery charger automatically transitions from Float to Absorption to keep the batteries fresh and prolong their life
- Out of the box charging with dip switch programming for Flooded, AGM, Gel, and Li-Ion profiles
- Full output power rated for continuous use. Can act as constant power supply for loads without discharging batteries
- Remote battery temperature compensation - adjusts voltage based on battery temperature, prolongs life of batteries
- Recommended battery bank size 240-1200Ah
- Easy Installation
For Parallel and/or Split Phase Additional Cable Kits are Required: (Not Included)

You are likely looking at the large chassis (3500W and up) CombiMaster because you want to parallel or split phase for more power. In those applications it is critical to match the incoming and outgoing AC wire length from all units. The same is true for the DC wire feeding the units. This means that when you install them you must measure the furthest wire run (AC & DC) and use those same lengths for the shorter run units as well. This will result in excess wire that needs to be secured but this burden is minimal compared to an imbalanced inverter system.
If you pair a Mastervolt Inverter/Charger with a Mastervolt MLI battery you must use the communication cables to create a Masterbus network. When using a properly set up Masterbus network DO NOT install the external battery temp sensor. The temperature will communicate naturally through the network and an external temp sensor can cause issues.
When you have a large inverter system you need large batteries to support it. Those batteries need a charger that can get them back to full power quickly which is why the CombiMaster has a built in battery charger.
The CombiMaster comes default with a neutral to ground connection which is required by ABYC. That is a configurable setting for non-marine applications, adding versatility.
The CombiMaster family can be a device added to an existing CZone or NMEA 2000 network. It comes with a proprietary drop cable to connect right into a NMEA 2000 backbone.
