Collection: Alternators & Regulators

Alternators are a device connected to the engine via a belt. when the engine is running the belt turns the rotor inside the alternator and creates unfiltered AC electrical current. To convert that unfiltered current to DC you pair every alternator with a rectifier and regulator. That allows you to properly charge a battery.

With lithium batteries being able to hold more power and accept more charge alternator technology had to change. Most alternators available are simply industrial/automotive alternators designed for lead acid batteries. We only partner with alternator and regulator manufacturers that design alternators specifically for the marine environment and lithium batteries. That means our alternators are designed to run at full amperage output longer and dissipate more heat, so you maximize your engine run time to charge your batteries and power your system.
