If you want a startup screen picture, you can upload a picture 480 × 272 pixels in a .bmp file to the EasyView 5 through the USB port.

You will need a Mastervolt & CZone USB Interface Programming Tool, or a FAT32 8-32 USB Flash drive to firmware update your EasyView 5. You need the USB Interface to set up the digital switches for events and control, like turning things on and off.

If you've ever wanted to monitor your Mastervolt devices in a hassle free way, set alarm parameters, and with the information you choose in customizable widgets, the EasyView 5 is a great option. If you've ever changed the app layout on your smartphone's home screen, you should be able to configure all of the monitoring you could possibly monitor, right on the EasyView 5. Naming Widgets, organizing information, setting alarms, alarm thresholds, and widget sizes are possible and simple on the EasyView 5.

If you are looking to configure any of the optional 6 digital switches, you will need to use the Masterbus & CZone USB Interface too to configure the switches as event sources. This is simple, optional, and allows you to control events like hot keys.

Auxiliary 12/24v power can be connected and will allow the screen to be a Masterbus powering device. If you do not connect the power connector the Easyview5 can be powered off the Masterbus network through the RJ45 connections.

For optimal performance we recommend you add this auxiliary power if your system:

1) Does not have enough Masterbus powering devices. The rule of thumb for the Masterbus Network is to have no more than 3 non-powering devices per 1 Masterbus Powering device.

2) If your Masterbus Ethernet/RJ45 cable run is over 10ft. The EasyView is a relatively high power consuming device, and a long Ethernet run may create too much power loss on the way to the EasyView 5, so consider adding auxiliary power if this applies to you.
