Collection: Battery Switches & ACRs

Battery switches allow you to safely connect and disconnect battery power from the system. They are also used to select which battery is supplying power to which load group. We are proponents of remote battery switches which allows users to turn on and off battery switches from the flip of a switch (much like a solenoid).

ACRs (Automatic Charging Relay) are also referred to as VSR (Voltage Sensing Relay) are relays that connect between 2 battery banks. When voltage rises in either bank above a defined threshold the ACR will automatically close, combining both battery banks. This allows vehicles and vessels with a single charging source (i.e. engine alternator) to automatically share the charging power with 2 battery banks. When the combined bank drops down in voltage to a specified level then the relay will open and isolate the two banks again. This prevents the engine battery from being drained.

We also supply the Add-a-Battery kit which is a combination of a battery switch, relay, battery cable, fuses. This allows you to easily add a second battery bank or upgrade a 2 battery system from a selector style switch.
