Blue Sea Systems 7623 ML-ACR Automatic Charging Relay 24V 500A
Blue Sea Systems 7623 ML-ACR Automatic Charging Relay 24V 500A
SKU:BSS7623
An Automatic Charging Relay (ACR) is connected to 2 isolated battery banks. It detects voltage on both battery banks. When voltage is above 26.0V for 90 seconds on either battery bank the ACR automatically parallels both battery banks to share charge. When voltage is below 25.5V for 30 seconds the ACR opens and isolates the 2 banks again.
This allows an ACR to share charge from a single charging source with 2 battery banks, but isolate them when that charging source is no longer present. The ACR does all of this automatically.
- 500A continuous rated
- Magnetic latching bi-stable relay
- Manual override knob
- Includes remote control contura switch
- ML-ACR includes multiple start isolation wires. This is an optional connection that allows the ACR to force isolate when cranking an engine. Preventing the house battery from ever seeing voltage sag caused by engine cranking

The ML-ACR functions like all other ACRs. The ACR senses voltage on either battery bank and when it is above charging voltages it combines both banks automatically. This is the equivalent of switching the selector switch to 1+2 (but automatically). When the charging source is turned off and the voltage drops below the designated voltage the ACR isolates the banks leaving them as 2 separate banks again, automatically. Then the cycle repeats itself. The result is you only turn the switch on at the beginning of the day, and off at the end. You never worry about the ACR during the day. Automation is a beautiful thing.
These ML-ACRs are special with their ability to continuously handle 500A, switch live currents, and have 0A operating current when open or closed.
All of those features make this a great ACR, but sometimes it's the little things that take a product from great to phenomenal. For us the manual override knob on this ACR does just that. So not only is it an ACR but can be a remotely controlled parallel switch for jumpstarting. This ML-ACR does it all.
