Requires MRBF fuse blocks (BSS5191 or 2151) - do not mount to battery directly

To mount take all fasteners off fuse block, slide fuse over post, place ring terminal from wire, then flat washer, then split washer, then nut. Never place the flat washer between the ring terminal and fuse or under the fuse.

All fuses and circuit breakers have an additional rating beyond just their trip amp rating. This additional rating is know as Amperage Interrupt Capacity (AIC).

Amperage Interrupt Capacity (AIC) is the maximum amperage rating that a fuse will safely disconnect during a short circuit event. The higher the number the larger the battery bank the fuse can be used to protect. The MRBF fuse is rated at 10,000A AIC which is one of the highest ratings in the industry, especially for such an easy installation. Making the fuse type ideal for battery charger leads, DC/DC converters, alternators, and other positive connections going directly to the battery.
