Unlike PWM controllers, MPPT actively adjusts to changing sunlight conditions, allowing you to extract significantly more power from your panels—especially in low light or partial shading scenarios.
Proper battery charging is just as important as power generation. The SCM60 uses a 3-stage charging profile (Bulk, Absorption, Float) to ensure batteries are charged quickly and safely while maximizing lifespan. With support for Flooded, AGM, Gel, and Lithium batteries, it can be tailored to nearly any system. When paired with a temperature sensor, it can further refine charging voltage to protect batteries in varying conditions.
The SCM60 integrates seamlessly into Mastervolt systems via MasterBus and can be monitored and controlled through CZone and NMEA 2000 networks. This allows you to view solar production, battery status, and charging behavior directly from your onboard displays or remote monitoring systems.
