The Mastervolt MLI Ultra 3000 and 6000 require an external safety relay to properly function. The reason this is external is to maximize the discharge amperage capabilities of the battery. To simplify adding in a safety relay this kit is available and mounts directly to the top of an MLI Ultra 3000 or 6000. It includes a Class T fuse block. This kit dramatically simplifies installation, increases safety, and is utilized in 90% of the lithium systems we design.

Features:

  • Mounts directly to top of MLI Ultra 3000 and 6000 batteries
  • Blue Sea Systems ML-RBS
  • BEP Class T Fuse Block
  • 300A continuous bus bar
  • Available in 12V or 24V
  • Class T Fuse sold separately
  • Battery sold separately

Specifications

Designed only for Mastervolt MLI Ultra 3000 & 6000 batteries.

Max Continuous Current: 300A
Operating Temperature: -10C to 50C
Max Voltage (12V): 64V (Not recommended for 48V systems)
Max Voltage (24V): 64V (Suitable for 48V systems)

Not recommended for systems where planned continuous current is over 300A. When selecting a Class T fuse above 300A it should only be for planned durations of 5 minutes or less.

Installation Details

Increases height of MLI Ultra 3000 and 6000 by 2.5in (65mm)

Relay bracket mounts over the top of the battery hold down strap. When installing place strap before the relay bracket, or place strap to side of the relay bracket.

Pelagic Power Tip

We use this relay bracket on 90% of installations that have MLI Ultra 3000 and 6000 batteries. By having the safety relay and fuse directly connected to the positive battery terminal it ensures immediate disconnect of power in the event of a battery safety event and the fuse protects everything after the battery post.

If you plan to have continuous current above 300A we recommend purchasing the ML-RBS and Class T fuse block separately and connecting them with the appropriate size battery cable to handle the current.
