MASTERVOLT 81400200 DC Master DC-DC Converter, 24/12V, 6A-10A
MASTERVOLT 81400200 DC Master DC-DC Converter, 24/12V, 6A-10A
SKU:MVT81400200
Product Overview:
MASTERVOLT DC Master DC-DC Converter The DC voltage requirements of onboard equipment varies considerably. The demands of a bow thruster or winch are entirely different than that required by sensitive electronic equipment. Installing a DC-DC step-down converter allows you to supply stable, continuous nominal 13.6V output voltage to all your 12V components regardless of the demand upon your 24V power system.

Installation Details
Installing the Mastervolt 81400200 (DC Master 24/12-6A) involves a straightforward "click-on" process using the included mounting bracket. Because this is a non-isolated model, it is designed for systems with a common negative earth.1. Preparation and SafetyPower Off: Ensure the supply source (24V battery) is switched off and no loads are connected to the 12V output during installation.Voltage Check: Verify your battery is a 24V system and your 12V devices do not exceed a continuous 6A draw.Polarity Warning: Double-check polarity. If the positive and negative connections are swapped, the unit will be irreparably damaged.2. Physical MountingLocation: Select a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area. The unit uses natural cooling (no fans), so airflow is critical for performance.Bracket Installation:Use the included mounting bracket to mark three hole positions.Drill 3.5mm pilot holes.Secure the bracket to the surface using the provided screws.Securing the Unit: Simply click the converter onto the fixed bracket clip.3. Electrical ConnectionsConnection Order: Always connect the input wires first (24V) before connecting the output wires (12V).Terminals: Use "Fast-on" (spade) connectors for all wiring.Fusing: You must integrate a fuse in the positive (+) wiring close to the battery to protect the circuit.Grounding: This model is suited for applications with negative earthing
Pelagic Power Tip
Pelagic Power Tip
Pro-Tip on "Stacking":If you find that 6A isn't enough power for your needs later on, do not connect two of these units in parallel to get 12A. These non-isolated models aren't designed to share a load equally, and one unit will likely overheat and shut down. If you need more power, it's better to upgrade to the 12A or 24A version (81400300 or 81400400).
