We use these for BRNKL systems linked to Z-wave wirelessly. This allows any smoke or CO detected on the boat or vehicle to be alarmed locally through the detector, as well as transmitted remotly through the BRNKL app. This provides a great peace of mind remotely and safety while on board

Installation Details

Install the First Alert 2-in-1 Smart Smoke & CO Alarm (SC5) by downloading the First Alert app or Apple App Store, mounting the bracket, and scanning the QR code for Wi-Fi setup. Install on ceilings or walls (5ft+ above floor) on every level of the vessel or vehicle, avoiding kitchens/high-humidity areas. Use battery power or AC wiring to install, ensuring it is within Bluetooth range of your phone for initial setup.

Pelagic Power Tip

Make sure to hold the pairing button down for over 10 seconds. It may take a few tries to get it to pair but we noticed it takes longer than the instructions recommended.
