Installation Details

1. Mounting Requirements
Location: Choose an accessible spot where indicator LEDs are visible.
Orientation: Can be mounted either vertically or horizontally.
Clearance: Maintain at least 10mm clearance around the sides and top, and ensure there is enough space above the unit to remove the cover.
Fastening: Use four 4mm (8G or 10G) screws or bolts to secure the interface to a sturdy surface.

2. Wiring & Connections
Output Connector: Feed wires through the cable grommet. Strip and insert each wire into the connector (accepts 24AWG – 8AWG or 0.5–6mm cables).
Tightening: Secure the connector screws to 4.43 in/lbs (0.5 Nm).
Relay Configuration: The dry contacts allow for positive, negative, or reversing motor control (e.g., shades or lifts).
Network: Connect a CZone Smart Harness or an NMEA 2000 drop cable to the network port. Ensure the network is properly terminated.

3. Configuration & Startup
Dipswitch Settings: Set the physical dipswitch to match your system’s configuration file using a small screwdriver.
Automatic Setup: In most cases, a new module will automatically read the configuration from the network once plugged in if a matching dipswitch value is set.
Testing: Power up the NMEA 2000 network; the outputs may flash briefly during boot. Check the Network Status LED and use the CZone Configuration Tool to verify software versions and circuit functionality.

Pelagic Power Tip

Since this specific model (80-911-0156-00) is non-fused, it does not provide overcurrent protection for your devices
Tip: You must install an appropriately rated external fuse for each of the 6 channels to protect your wiring and connected loads.
Limit: Ensure the total continuous current for all combined loads does not exceed 30A for the entire module.
