The Output Interface(OI) is your upgraded solution for integrating high-current loads into your CZone network-more protection, more control, and no wasted space. Think of it as a modern replacement for your traditional fuse box, but with the added benefits of resilient circuit protection and digital switching.

A USB Interface tool is required for programing

Features:

  • 6x 20A Outputs, with optional paralleling for higher current needs.
  • 4 layers of circuit Protection:
    • Mechanical Fuse (ignition-protected ATC fuses with ABYC bypassing)
    • Hardware short circuit Protection (analog shunt-based detection)
    • Software short circuit Protection (microcontroller-based detection)
    • Programable digital fuses for overcurrent protection.
  • Manual override: for direct control: pull fuses to force off, or use the top two notches to force loads on.
  • PWM cycling for adjustable power, perfect for dimming lights or timing loads.
  • Isolated Ground (DC and CAN), to prevent ground loops, ensuring accurate short circuit detection and digital fusing without affecting NMEA termination.
  • Compact and versatile Designed to fit seamlessly int CZone and NMEA systems -   no crimping required for easy installation and replacement.

This isn't just a fuse box- it's a smarter, safer way to manage power on your boat. No compromises, just reliable performance and peace of mind.

Installation Details

The Masterbus and CZone USB interface, as well as the CZone configuration tool(software) is needed to update firmware for the OI.

Power supply stud: M6 (1/4")
Max Single Output Cable rating: 16mm (6AWG)

Output channels can be paralleled to increase current past 20A

Mounting screws (NOT included): 5mm(3/16") self-tapping screws or bolts

Any DC cables carrying 100Amps or more must be mounted 50mm or more from any OI, to avoid electromagnetic interference

Use a sufficient cable to be able to handle the maximum amperage of all the loads, and a properly chosen fuse to protect the cable (rule of thumbs is the fuse should be rated for 80% of the wire's continuous rating)

Standard BEP circuit breaker panel labels are recommended, fitting snugly on the outside snap on cover

The ATC fuse chosen should be appropriately rated for each individual load.

Pelagic Power Tip

Let’s be real—when things go wrong on a boat, electrical issues are the last thing you want to troubleshoot. If you’re after bulletproof, over-engineered, multi-layered circuit protection for your CZone digital switching, the CZone Output Interface (OI) is your best bet. Its compact design means you can mount it right next to your loads, giving you the best fuse protection possible.

Like a traditional fuse box (but way better), each fused load has a manual mechanical override. Pull the fuse to force the circuit off, or slide it to the top notch to force it on. This isn’t just a cool feature—it’s an ABYC requirement for electronic circuit protection. Plus, you can set custom current thresholds for digital fuses, so your system can cut power before your physical fuses even think about blowing. That’s an extra layer of defense for your gear.

The OI doesn’t stop there. It packs both hardware and software short circuit detection. If something goes wrong, analog sensors and a watchful microcontroller will kill the circuit in milliseconds, saving your boat from potential damage.

Since it’s fully integrated with CZone, any short circuit, blown fuse, or manual override triggers an instant alarm across your network. Your Touch interfaces or MFDs will show the alert, and it won’t disappear until you acknowledge or fix the issue. You can even program loads to turn on or off automatically when an alarm hits—because why not let your system do the heavy lifting?

Here’s the kicker: CZone modules store all their settings across the network. If one fails, just swap in a new module, match the dip switch address, and the network pushes the firmware to the replacement. Many smart boaters keep backup modules for critical components, so swapping out a failed unit is as easy as plug-and-play.

If you want top-tier protection, control, and efficiency—without wasting space—the CZone OI is the way to go. Stay safe and sail smarter!
