BRNKL Black was utilized to fuse vessel and biometric data for a Special Operations Forces organization, aiming to understand the physical impacts on military personnel aboard high-speed boats. This study combined physiological data from wearable wireless biometric sensors, tracking sudden body and head accelerations, with measurements from vessel-mounted accelerometers at various points on the boat. The integration of these data sets in real time with the BRNKL Black provided crucial insights into the physical effects of different operational maneuvers, enhancing our understanding of crew safety and vessel performance.

Mount in a dry, protected interior location near your network equipment, with access to power, NMEA 2000 backbone, and internet connection.
External DC power connection required (10.5–60 VDC). The unit is not powered by the NMEA 2000 network.
Internet connection required for remote monitoring (Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or onboard router such as Starlink).
Connect to vessel systems via NMEA 2000, Ethernet devices, or onboard sensors as needed.
Mounting hardware (NOT included): appropriate screws or bolts for the mounting surface.
GNSS and Wi-Fi antennas should be installed with clear signal paths for best performance.
Configuration and monitoring are done through the BRNKL web or mobile interface after installation.

The BRNKL Black becomes even more powerful when integrated with NMEA 2000 digital switching systems like CZone and Mastervolt. By connecting directly to the NMEA 2000 network, BRNKL Blue can monitor and control a wide range of onboard systems using standard PGNs, giving you remote access to your vessel’s electrical and mechanical data.
With Mastervolt integration over NMEA 2000, you can view key battery information such as state of charge, voltage, current, and alarms directly through the BRNKL interface. This allows you to keep track of your power system in real time, whether you’re at the dock or across the world. You can also use this data to trigger automated actions, like remotely starting a generator when battery levels drop below a set threshold to keep your batteries properly charged.
When tied into a CZone digital switching system, BRNKL Blue can do more than just monitor—it can also control circuits. From your phone or computer, you can turn on lighting, power up equipment, reset tripped circuits, or shut down non-essential loads if the batteries get low. This is especially useful for boats left unattended, allowing you to manage systems without being physically onboard.
Because BRNKL Blue works with standard NMEA 2000 PGNs, the integration possibilities are highly customizable. You can build automated rules, remote controls, and alert systems tailored to your specific vessel, whether it’s for battery management, security, or overall system monitoring
