Not all bus bars are created equal. The electrical grade copper in this bus bar is tin plated for corrosion resistance and the stainless studs are swedged into the copper with a 1 ton press. This means the studs and copper bus bar are essentially 1 piece of metal and do not require nuts to keep the studs mounted to the bus bar. The 5 screw terminals use captive star washers that bite into the ring terminal to ensure a secure connection. We recommend insulation of all bus bars, which is why this bus bar comes with a friction fit cover. Simply press it into the two exterior studs after you are done wiring.
