Not all bus bars are created equal. The electrical grade copper in this bus bar is tin plated for corrosion resistance and the stainless studs are swedged into the copper with a 1 ton press. This means the studs and copper bus bar are essentially 1 piece of metal and do not require nuts to keep the studs mounted to the bus bar. Instead of nuts, flat washers, and lock washers this bus bar comes with flange nuts. Flange nuts are a nut with a flared base with ridges to grab the ring terminal. This replaces the nut, lock washer, flat washer issue and allows you to always install your ring terminals safely with just 1 fastener. We recommend insulation of all bus bars, which is why this bus bar comes with a friction fit cover. Simply press it into the two exterior studs after you are done wiring.
