Not all bus bars are created equal. The electrical grade copper in this bus bar is tin plated for corrosion resistance and the stainless studs are wedged into the copper with a 1 ton press. This means the studs and copper bus bar are essentially 1 piece of metal and do not require nuts to keep the studs mounted to the bus bar. The 12 screw terminals use captive star washers that bite into the ring terminal to ensure a secure connection. We recommend insulation of all bus bars, this bus bar has the 2718 MaxiBus Bar Cover made for this and the 2126 MaxiBus specifically.
