Ancor NMEA 2000 Blanking Caps cover exposed NMEA 2000 ports. Using a blanking cap is an ideal way to reduce corrosion intrusion into a network that has an exposed port.
Female is designed to fit in to the top of a Tee in place of a drop cable.
Male is designed to fit over a drop cable that may be disconnected from a backbone.

Most common application for blanking caps is covering a multi-gang Tee that has an open port for future expansion. In that application you would use a female blanking cap.
