Mastervolt to CZone Bridge Interface
Mastervolt to CZone Bridge Interface
SKU:CZN80-911-0072-00
Mastervolt products that communicate were originally designed to communicate on a proprietary CAN bus network called Masterbus. CZone was designed to communicate on NMEA 2000. Many new Mastervolt devices can be configured as a CZone device on NMEA 2000 but not all of them.
If you want to link a Masterbus system with a CZone system so information is communicated, displayed, and controllable from one screen then you will need this bridge.
This bridge is commonly used when a vessel or vehicle that already has Mastervolt on-board that is set up under Masterbus and want to add in CZone (or vise versa).
Features:
- Connects a Masterbus network to a CZone/NMEA 2000 network
- Allows control and Monitoring of Mastervolt devices on CZone and other NMEA 2000 compatible displays
- Transfers alarms between both systems

Installation Details
There are 2 ports on the interface. The port labeled CZone will connect into a NMEA 2000 network tee with a standard drop cable.
The port labeled "M" connects into a Masterbus network using the included Masterbus adapter cable. Connect the threaded connector to the interface, then connect in ethernet connections in and out of the Masterbus adapter cable just like any other Masterbus device. You may also terminate the Masterbus network in the adapter cable with a Masterbus terminating resistor (not included).

If you have CZone/NMEA 2000 netowrk and Masterbus network on-board then you need tihs device to connect the two.
If you are trying to decide if there should be 1 netowrk or 2 on-board we like having 2. There are 2 main reasons why, and that is CZone networks on NMEA 2000 are commonly powered off when leaving a vehicle or vessel. That isn't ideal for power systems like batteries and chargers. The Masterbus network is always powered. Another reason to have 2 networks is the Masteradjust software monitors the systems live for diagnostics where the CZone software does not.
If you have only a few Mastervolt products and an extensive CZone network you should probably just have everything on CZone. However, if you have an extensive Mastervolt network and want 24 hour control it's likely better to have this bridge and connect into CZone.
