Ancor NMEA 2000 Field Serviceable Connectors

Field serviceable connectors allow you to wire NMEA 2000 cable to a connector. Ideal for repairing broken cable or if you have to cut NMEA cable to run through a bulkhead and terminate later.

In the NMEA 2000 network a "Male" connector is the connector with the exposed pins. The "Female" has the pin sockets. Ignore the connector itself and focus on the pins to determine gender.

Wires inside NMEA 2000 cables are color coded. Follow directions and wire to appropriate pins.

Wire Color Coding:
Red = Battery Positive (+)
Black = Battery Negative (-)
Grey = Shield (Ground)
White = CAN High
Blue = CAN Low

When wiring field serviceable connectors don't strip away too much of the outer NMEA 2000 wire jacket. That jacket allows proper re-termination when the connector is completely wired.
